Terms & conditions
Last updated on 15 October 2026
APT Amstelveen is a group of independent personal trainers working from Basic-Fit Amstelveen. This page sets out the terms that apply when you train with one of our trainers.
Scope
These terms apply to all personal training, coaching and related services offered under the name APT Amstelveen. They apply to every appointment, every session and every package you agree with one of our trainers.
A trainer may make additional arrangements with you, for example about rates, packages or payment. Those arrangements are recorded before you start and take precedence over these terms where they differ.
Who you enter into an agreement with
The trainers of APT Amstelveen are independent professionals. Your personal training agreement is with the trainer you train with, not with APT Amstelveen as a whole. That trainer is your point of contact for scheduling, payment and the content of your programme.
You can find the trainers' details on the contact page.
Basic-Fit membership
All training takes place at Basic-Fit Amstelveen. A valid Basic-Fit membership is required to train. You arrange and pay for that membership yourself, separately from your arrangements with your trainer. Basic-Fit's house rules also apply inside the gym.
Appointments and cancellation
You schedule your sessions together with your trainer. The following applies to cancellations:
- Cancel at least 24 hours in advance and the session moves to another time free of charge.
- Cancel later than that, or fail to show up, and the session is charged or deducted from your package.
If your trainer cancels a session, you schedule a new time together. That session is not charged. If you arrive late, the session still ends at the agreed end time.
Rates and payment
Your trainer agrees with you what you pay, how many sessions or which period that covers, how long a package remains valid and when you pay. Those arrangements are recorded before you start. Unless agreed otherwise, you pay in advance.
Sessions and packages are personal and cannot be transferred. If you do not pay on time, your trainer may suspend sessions until payment has been received.
Health and your own responsibility
Personal training involves physical effort. You are responsible for your own health. We therefore ask you to:
- Inform your trainer in advance about injuries, complaints, medication, pregnancy or any other circumstances that may affect your training
- Report any changes in your health during the programme straight away
- Follow your trainer's instructions and stop as soon as something does not feel right
You train at your own risk. If you are unsure whether training is advisable, consult your doctor or specialist first.
Liability
Your trainer is not liable for injuries or damage arising during or after training, unless caused by the trainer's intent or gross negligence. Where the trainer is nevertheless liable, that liability is limited to the amount you paid for the session or package concerned, to the extent permitted by law.
APT Amstelveen and the trainers are not liable for loss, theft or damage to your belongings in the gym.
Conduct and house rules
We treat each other with respect, in the gym and beyond. You follow Basic-Fit's house rules and your trainer's instructions. In the event of serious or repeated misconduct, your trainer may end the session or the programme. Sessions already paid for are not refunded in that case.
Photos and videos
Our trainers sometimes take photos or videos for the website or social media. This only happens with your prior consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time, after which the material will not be used in new publications.
Privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our privacy policy. You can find it via the link at the bottom of this website.
Complaints and applicable law
If you are unhappy about something, discuss it with your trainer first. If you cannot resolve it together, email info@apt-amstelveen.nl. We respond within two weeks.
Dutch law applies to all agreements. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
Changes
We may change these terms. The most recent version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top. For existing arrangements, the version in force when you made that arrangement applies.
